Course Description:

When patients present for injuries or trauma, physicians and staff are tasked with additional work to submit correct claims. This course is designed to help technicians ask the right questions and document in order to support the services the physician renders in 2020 and 2021. It will discuss patients being seen elsewhere, HPI best documentation and surgical code selection.


Learning Objectives:
  1. Determine the appropriate CPT code for procedures performed.
  2. Recite HPI best practices.
  3. Discuss what documentation is needed to ensure correct claims submission.
