Course Description:

This course will review the history, indication, surgical techniques and postoperative management for the following corneal procedures: Descemet's membrane endothelial keratoplasty (DMEK), Descemet's stripping endothelial keratoplasty (DSEK), deep anterior lamellar keratoplasty (DALK) and penetrating keratoplasty (PKP).


Learning Objectives:
  1. Describe the various key differences between DMEK, DSEK, DALK, PKP.
  2. Explain when the various surgical procedures would be indicated.
  3. Describe the basics of the surgical procedures.
  4. Understand the post op management of these various corneal procedures.
