Course Description:

This program will dive into the main differences between in-office vs. outpatient surgical procedures. Each instructor will demonstrate the key points necessary for the ophthalmic assistant to know when assisting in the different surgical spaces. This course may contain surgical images that may not sit well for some attendees.


Learning Objectives:
  1. Determine the differences between in-office and outpatient surgeries.
  2. Identify how to maintain sterile or "clean" environments before and during cases.
  3. Determine some of the most common tasks/duties performed by OAs during surgical procedures.
