Course Description:

This course will discuss myasthenia gravis and the relevant effects this disease has on the patient. The accommodations, empathy, and additional assistance that can be provided to acheive the best experience for the patient and the technician will be outlined and reviewed.


Learning Objectives:
  1. Describe the physical manifestations of myasthenia gravis.
  2. Identify the parts of an ophthalmic exam that may require accomodation or adjustments.
  3. Understand the challanges a patient with myasthenia gravis may face and how the tech can help.
