Course Description:

Basic Fundus Photography will serve as a beginning point for the ophthalmic technician who is venturing into the field of ophthalmic photography. Starting from the basics, this course will review basic anatomy of the eye, define a fundus camera, discus the fundamental differences between mydriatic and non-mydriatic cameras, and close out with how to perform fundus photography, from patient preparation through taking the photos through to managing the photographs.


Learning Objectives:
  1. Understand how a fundus camera works.
  2. Prepare a fundus camera and patient for fundus photography.
  3. Perform fundus photography.
