Course Description:

This course reviews the basics of visual field testing. Definitions of terms, how the machines work, minimizing testing errors, and suggestions for how to run a visual field testing system will be covered. Guidelines for interpretation of results will also be included.


Learning Objectives:
  1. Understand what is being measured in a visual field test and how the measurement is conducted.
  2. Be able to identify common visual field defects and their associated diseases.
  3. Understand the role of the technician in visual field testing.
  4. Understand how to minimize testing errors and maximize information for the clinician.
