Some of the most vision-threatening complications of cataract surgery involve the retina. Problems such as retinal detachments and endophthalmitis must be addressed urgently, whereas retained lens fragments and cystoid macular edema create chronic visual problems. This course will discuss a variety of problems seen in cataract surgery practices.
