Course Description:

This course will provide a detailed discussion of the procedures and steps in performing a slit lamp examination, as well as, the different lighting techniques which enable the technician to recognize commonly seen ocular disorders. Ocular pathology most commonly seen during the slit lamp examination will be reviewed.


Learning Objectives:
  1. List steps toward successful implementation of Lean Six Sigma clinical efficiency.
  2. Formulate knowledge of the procedures and step in performing a slit lamp exam.
  3. Identify the different lighting techniques on the slit lamp and how to use them to visualize pathology.
  4. Identify commonly seen pathology seen during the slit lamp examination.
