December 3 Ophthalmology Grand Rounds: A Potpourri of Cases
This course will include the presentation and discussion of four interesting cases from grand rounds at the Scheie Eye Institute, University of Pennsylvania.

Learning Objectives:
  1. Describe clinical findings associated with tattoo associated uveitis.
  2. Appreciate the importance of intimate partner violence screening during ophthalmology encounters.
  3. Recognize warning signs and learn what questions to ask to help differentiate common causes of flashes.

December 10 You Saw What? A Curious Compendium of Ocular Oddities A collection of cases that demonstrate some rare and fascinating ocular maladies. It will feature a mix of history, case presentations and epidemiology that covers unusual diagnoses from around the world, running the gamut from Acanthameoba Kertatitis through Zelwegger Syndrome.

Learning Objectives:
  1. Describe a mix of history, case presentations and epidemiology that covers unusual diagnoses from around the world, running the gamut from A to Z.
  2. Describe cases that demonstrate some rare and fascinating ocular maladies.

December 17 Adenovirus, Herpes Simplex and Herpes Zoster Anterior Segment Disease This course will present the clinical presentation, evaluation, management, and treatment of Adenovirus, Herpes Simplex and Herpes Zoster in terms of the anterior segment manifestations.

Learning Objectives:
  1. Recognize the clinical presentation of Adenovirus, Herpes Simplex, and Herpes Zoster.
  2. List management, treatment, and prophylaxis options.

December 17 Diving and the Eye Artificial environments, such as occurs with flying and scuba diving, subject the eyes and adnexa to unique forces and cause optical alterations. This course will discuss the challenges and risks to visual clarity and ocular health faced by those who dive.

Learning Objectives:
  1. Understand the different forces experienced by the eye during flying and diving.
  2. Understand the optical changes that result from an aquatic environment.
  3. Recognize several types of ophthalmic trauma experienced by divers.
