March 4 Ophthalmic Testing for Adult and Pediatric Patients with Inherited Retinal Disease
This course will provide an overview of history taking, vision testing, and ophthalmic work-up for adult and pediatric patients with presumed inherited retinal diseases.

Learning Objectives:
  1. Review principles of functional vision testing for patients with inherited retinal diseases (IRDs).
  2. Describe important history taking and work-up for patients with suspected IRD.
  3. Summarize the signs and symptoms of IRDs.

  4. March 11 Flooding the Desert: Dry Eye Update This course will cover a wide variety of dry eye treatments, from the tried and true to innovative solutions that are on the horizon.

    Learning Objectives:
    1. List dry eye treatment options.
    2. Describe the pros and cons of dry eye treatment options.

    March 18 Ophthalmology Humanitarian Mission: A Blueprint for a Successful and Rewarding Experience This presentation will share the steps to plan and carry out an ophthalmic humanitarian mission. It will also share resources along with "tricks of the trades" for a successful and fruitful mission.

    Learning Objectives:
    1. Describe the steps needed to plan an ophthalmic mission.
    2. List strategies for a successful mission.

    March 25 Grand Rounds Case Presentation: Optics and Difficult RefractionsThis course is a grand rounds format with case presentations of past optical problems the ophthalmic technician may encounter in daily practice.

    Learning Objectives:
    1. Study different case presentation in a grand rounds format. /li>
    2. Identify optical problems and how they were treated.
